Write for us: what we look for in a guest post
If you want to write for us, start by picturing the reader: a business owner or marketing manager in the USA or Australia who is deciding how to grow through search, paid media and their website. They are smart and busy, and they want advice they can put into practice this week.
The best SEO and digital marketing guest posts we receive share three qualities:
- They teach something specific. A clear process, framework or checklist beats general tips every time.
- They are backed by experience. Real examples, original screenshots and lessons from projects you have worked on.
- They are honest about trade-offs. When a tactic doesn’t work, or only works in certain situations, say so.
Browse the Glorvix blog before you pitch to see the depth and tone we aim for. Our SEO website migration checklist is a good example of the practical, step-by-step style readers value.
Guest post guidelines
Every submission must meet these guidelines:
- Original and unpublished. Your post must not appear anywhere else, including on your own site, Medium or LinkedIn, and must not be republished after we publish it.
- At least 1,500 words. Long enough to cover the topic properly. Depth matters more than length, so don’t pad the word count.
- Practical and actionable. Include steps, examples, templates or checklists readers can apply straight away.
- Written from expertise. Explain what you have tested, what you have seen work and why.
- Original visuals and data. Use your own screenshots, charts or research, and credit every source. No watermarked stock images.
- Accurate and current. Cite official documentation where it exists, and avoid claims you can’t support.
- No AI-generated spam. Content that is mass-produced, generic or written mainly to rank is declined, in line with Google’s guidance on creating helpful, people-first content.
Write in plain English with short paragraphs, descriptive subheadings and no jargon you haven’t explained. We publish in Australian English, so our editor will adjust spelling where needed.
Our link policy
We keep our link policy simple because it protects our readers, our site and yours.
- Editorial links only. Links in the body must genuinely help the reader, such as official documentation, original research or a relevant tool. Our editor decides which links stay.
- No paid links. We don’t accept payment, products or link exchanges in return for publishing a post or adding a link.
- One link in your author bio to your website or professional profile.
- Qualified links where appropriate. We may add attributes such as
nofolloworsponsoredto outbound links, following Google’s guidance on qualifying outbound links.
If your main goal is a backlink rather than helping readers, this isn’t the right opportunity for you.
How to pitch a digital marketing guest post
The quickest way to write for us is to email your pitch to hello@glorsvix.com with the subject line “Guest post pitch” so it reaches our editor. Please include:
- A working title and a two or three sentence summary of the post
- A short outline showing your main sections
- Why you are qualified to write it, with the experience behind your advice
- Two or three links to articles you have already published
- Your name, role and website
Pitch an idea rather than a finished article where possible. It saves you time if the topic overlaps with something we already have planned.
What happens after you submit
Once your pitch is approved and you send your draft, our editor reviews it for accuracy, structure and fit. Most posts go through one round of edits. We may tighten the introduction, add internal links to related guides or services such as our content writing service, and adjust headings for clarity and search. We will share significant changes with you before publishing.
After it goes live, we will send you the link. Please share it with your network, and let us know if a fact in your post changes so we can keep it accurate.
Before you write for us: what we don’t accept
We don’t publish, and won’t respond to pitches about:
- Casino, gambling, betting or crypto trading content
- CBD, cannabis, vaping or adult content
- Payday loans, debt or high-risk financial offers
- Articles written to host links for link farms, PBNs or link schemes
- Topics unrelated to SEO, digital marketing, design or development
- Thin listicles, rewritten articles and mass-produced AI content
- Press releases and promotional posts about your own product
These rules follow the same standards that keep our clients’ websites safe under Google’s spam policies.
Editorial rights and ownership
By submitting a guest post, you confirm that it is your original work and that you have the right to publish any images or data it contains. Glorvix may edit, update, retitle, add internal links to or remove a published post at any time to keep it accurate and useful. Once published, the post must not be reproduced elsewhere, although you are welcome to share a short excerpt with a link back to the original.
Guest posts reflect their authors’ views, not necessarily those of Glorvix, as explained in our website disclaimer. Use of our website is also covered by our terms and conditions. Questions that aren’t about a pitch? Use our contact page.
